​Welcome! West Michigan Alliance for Veterans is a 501(c)(3) organization operating exclusively for the benefit of United States military service veterans and their families in West Michigan. The organization was originally funded by the generosity of George Gordon, a United States Marine Corps veteran who received a Silver Star Medal for his efforts during World War II. Mr. Gordon's desire to leave a legacy for the care and support of veterans in West Michigan prompted the creation and operation of the organization by Paul W Potter. The projects to be supported are chosen by the Board of Directors through a review and vetting process.

Donations

We take your donation very seriously. Donations to the 501(c)(3) organization are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We carefully examine every request for funding to ensure donations are used in the most appropriate way. Our goal is for 98% of donations to be used for the organizations stated purpose.

​Our board of directors are committed to providing support for Michigan military service veterans and their families. Many of our directors are veterans. All of our directors are passionate about this organization.

Your donations to our organization will be used for our stated purpose and our goal is to have 98% of donations paid out in programs and services. We vigorously research all organizations and programs to make sure that the organizations money is put to good use and for YOU - our veterans!
